Parallel Employment is on the lookout for a dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team in the manufacturing sector. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of machinery and equipment to maintain production efficiency. This position requires hands-on expertise in both electrical and mechanical maintenance while working in a fast-paced environment. Maintenance Technician will be responsible for repairs, troubleshooting and expertise in functionality of all machinery, high speed robotics and automation and plant support equipment. This includes troubleshooting hydraulic and pneumatic circuits with the aid of schematics and repairing electric circuits with complete understanding of electrical schematic diagrams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various machinery and equipment.
- Inspect and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems to identify issues.
- Assist with equipment installation and set-up, ensuring all machinery is operational.
- Document maintenance activities and maintain accurate records in the maintenance management system.
- Adhere to safety regulations and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
- Work collaboratively with other maintenance staff to improve processes and enhance overall efficiency.
- Maintain, troubleshoot and repair high speed robotics and automation equipment.
- Maintain, troubleshoot and repair injection molding machines and a variety of, auxiliary equipment.
- Service lifts, hoists, power and miscellaneous material handling equipment.
- Maintain and repair plant systems to include plumbing, heating and air conditioning, ventilating and exhaust equipment, compressors, etc.
- Perform electrical repairs to machines and equipment. Diagnose electrical / electronic malfunctions, troubleshoot microprocessors.
- Work from prints, plans, sketches and layouts.
- Perform preventive maintenance activities on all production equipment in a timely manner. Use precision measuring instruments such as scale, calipers, dividers, level, micrometers, etc.
Schedule:
This position may require flexibility in hours, including potential overtime or shift work.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in a related field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in maintenance roles, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
- Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing electrical and mechanical systems.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and best practices in maintenance operations.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
