Janitorial

Parallel Employment is currently hiring for the position of Janitorial. As a Janitor, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation throughout our facility.

Responsibilities include:

• Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area. Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the facility.

• Clean work areas within warehouse floor.

• Clean with hand brooms, power scrubbers, sweepers, and vacuum cleaners to meet company standards.

• Remove all refuse from garbage bins, recycle bins and building daily, ensuring that trash cans is empty and clean.

• Process collected materials for scrapping

• Collects cardboard and recycling throughout the facility

• Operates cardboard baler, plastic and refuse compactors

• Assists with snow removal when required

• Assists with parking lot cleanliness

• Perform basic maintenance tasks as directed effectively and safely.

• Ensure the efficient and safe operation of all material handling equipment

• Prepare complete and accurate records and reports as required.

• Additional cleaning duties as requested by organization.

• Alert Maintenance Lead in case of problems

• Communication with Maintenance team.

Requirements

• Previous janitorial or cleaning experience
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
• Ability to work independently
• Attention to detail
• Good communication skills
• Ability to lift to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand and walk long distances for at least 8 hours per day
