Fabricator

• Reads job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
• Sets stops or guides to specified length as indicated by scale, rule, or template.
• Positions work piece against stops or aligns layout marks with die or blade.
• Operates shear, press brake, folding machine, turret, etc.
• Inspects work pieces for defects or machine malfunction.
• Removes burrs, sharp edges, rust, or scale from work piece.
• Performs minor machine maintenance such as oiling machines, dies, or work pieces.
• Set up machine, and stack, mark, pack, and transport finished work pieces.
• Rivets and spot welds work pieces.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Machine operator experience.
• The ability to work independently and follow work instructions.
• Computer skills related to manufacturing equipment.
• Experience with blueprint reading and/or shop work orders.
• Candidate must be able to lift or move up to 100 lbs.
• Must be able to work 6am - 4:30pm Monday thru Thursday, and up to 10 hours on Fridays.
