Full Job Description
The Project Manager plans, directs, and coordinates activities of designated projects to ensure that the goals and objectives of the project are accomplished within the prescribed time frame and funding parameters.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Act as technical support to the sales staff during the quoting process
- Interpret customer requests, specifications and drawings as they apply to switchgear equipment and related products
- Supports sales with technical expertise to identify opportunities and develop proposals
- Review project proposals and specifications to construct project procedures and critical paths for accomplishing the project in regards to internal resource availability and material deliveries
- Upon receipt of customer orders, become the central point of communications between the customer and Trachte. Collect all information required from the customer in a timely manner that will allow the project schedule to be maintained. Transmit all required information to and from internal & external customers
- Work with large or repeat customers, internal personnel and vendors to constantly improve the product from a quality, satisfaction, schedule, pricing and profitability standpoint
- Direct and coordinate activities of engineering team personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget
- Review status reports and modify schedules or plans as required and communicate changes to customer when necessary
- Confer with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems
- Coordinate project activities with activities of government regulatory or other governmental agencies
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Management or related field. Combination of education and experience will be considered
- Electrical experience/background required or Project Managment experience on Manufacturing/ Commercial/ Industrial electrical projects
- Knowledge of electrical wiring, components and schematics
- Knowledge of National Electric Code (NEC)
- Experience with electrical distribution & controls or automation
- Switchgear application experience with low and medium voltage
- Familiarity with SolidWorks preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products
- Previous manufacturing experience in the transmission & distribution, oil & gas, or sheet metal design industries is preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to interface and influence at all levels
- Strong leadership and project management skills
- Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
