Full Job Description

Our large castings client is in need of a 1st shift Electrical Engineering Supervisor to oversee all plant electrical systems, repairs and improvement for the entire location. The Electrical Supervisor will report to the Maintenance Manager.

  • Production orders booked out for a year
  • Ability to produce castings from 600 different alloys
  • Markets served include Aerospace, defense, energy, mining, petrochemical, food equipment and process equipment
  • In addition to castings, they have a complete machine shop for fabrication, heating treating facility and testing lab
  • Certifications include: AS9100, ISO 9001, Nadcap, and ASNT Levels II & III

  • What you will be doing:
    • Ensuring that all electrical and electronic equipment are operationally ready.
    • Plan for all long-range electrical projects and for the electrical portion of any other projects.
    • Supervise all three shifts of electrical staff and be directly involved in the selection, hiring, training and development of new personnel.
    • Manage administrative programs that concern electrical systems and personnel.
    • Oversee all contractors as needed, directing their activities to ensure on-time and on-budget completion of projects.

Requirements

What they are looking for:

  • BS degree in Electrical Engineering with at least 3+ years of electrical experience or 10+ years of electrical experience or a combination of education and experience.
  • Must have prior supervisory experience.
  • Strong electrical experience including troubleshooting and repair of controls, instrumentation, and electrical distribution systems.  
  • Any project management experience is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills are expected.
