Millennium’s Geospatial specializes in the most advanced and reliable fiber optic cable network designs, fiber to the home designs (FTTH) designs, fiber optic engineering, and a full complement of related support. 

As a Design Engineer at Millennium Geospatial, you will play a pivotal role in bringing our groundbreaking ideas to life. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to conceptualize, design, and develop innovative solutions that address real-world challenges in the Broadband industry. From initial concept to final product, you will have the opportunity to make meaningful contributions and see your ideas come to fruition.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Design and drafting of fiber optic cable design.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and utility maps.
  • Complete Utility records updates.
  • Update AutoCAD and GIS utility plans.
  • Complete permit submittals and coordination
  • Coordinate Utility
  • Complete As built and GIS Updates
  • Project management
  • Perform field walkout assignments daily over varying terrain and in all weather conditions.
  • Complete Utility Plan Sets.
  • Complete load calculation worksheets and pole/anchor/transfer activities.
  • Ensure all tasks are completed in accordance with customer and industry specifications.
  • Utilize software programs to analyze and compile collected field data.

  • Knowledge of FTTX.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the fielding process with hands-on experience.
  • Knowledge of utility design requirements, materials, and plan production
  • Desire and ability to learn new computer software and technologies.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 
  • Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently and prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to understand, read, and interpret data.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid Driver’s License and a good driving record
  • Comfort level in working with technology tools; CRM, ERP, and vendor portals
