CNC Set-Up Operator

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Set up and operate multiple CNC mills.

• Set up, select and change tooling according to work order packets.

• Care and basic maintenance of machines and tooling.

• Inspect/measure parts using calipers, veneers, micrometers & gauges; read and interpret blueprints and drawings.

• Responsible for quality of the parts produced.

2nd shift: 2:30pm-12:30am Mon.-Fri.

Pay rate: $22/hr.-$30/hr. based on experience.

Job type: Temp to Hire.

Requirements

KEY REQUIREMENTS, EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 3 years hands-on experience with CNC Mills.

• Experience working with Mazak machines is preferred; other experience with Haas, Mori Seiki, Tsugami, Miyano or Swiss machines is helpful.

• Knowledge of machining processes, tolerances and tooling.

• Ability to read/write English to understand work orders, routings, blueprints and drawings.

• Skilled in basic shop math.

• High school diploma or equivalent required; CNC training preferred.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Inspect/measure parts using calipers, veneers, micrometers & gauges; read and interpret blueprints and drawings.

• Understanding of OSHA rules and regulations (i.e. lockout/tagout, machine guarding).

• Effective communication skills: must be able read and write clearly and concisely in English and understand/follow written work instructions and company procedures.

• Ability to use company communication tools, including email and Microsoft Word/Excel.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Must be capable of lifting/moving up to 50 pounds periodically throughout the shift and standing/walking/bending/squatting regularly throughout the workday.
