Full Job Description

Our client, a leading company providing distribution services to the manufacturing sector, is seeking an experienced Associate General Counsel to join their dynamic legal team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a diverse business environment, encompassing distribution, warehousing, manufacturing, and licensing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of corporate contracts, with a focus on manufacturing, distribution, and logistics
  • Review contracts related to buying and selling products, particularly for products manufactured overseas
  • Manage and oversee licensing agreements
  • Provide legal support on corporate governance, compliance, and risk management
  • Handle lease agreements for warehouses and facilities
  • Assist with HR and employment law matters, including familiarity with California labor laws, especially regarding termination
  • Support bank financing arrangements and negotiations, including the ability to read and interpret loan documents
  • Maintain current knowledge of relevant legislative changes
  • Coordinate with external legal counsel as needed

  • Cleveland location as option (will require traveling 2 - 3 times a week to Green Bay)

Compensation and Benefits

  • Competitive salary: $200 - $250k
