This position is accountable for supporting the supply and inventory planning function at Kestra. Collaborates with supplier management and suppliers on the supply plan process. Will also help design processes and metrics to analyze current and forecasted capacity and inventory levels and supply plan by location. Reports supply and inventory metrics to operations and finance management on a regular basis with the intent of handing off that process to Kestra upon completion of the internship project.
This is a part-time summer internship position (less than 30 hours per week), working with the Supply Chain Team at Kestra.
Requirements
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Project: Two defined projects in supplier performance and sourcing. The outputs will include agendas, inputs and outputs and contingency needs for growth. A focus will also be placed on establishing Key Performance Indicators for the ongoing process
- Supply Chain support: Planning ramp of a second source supplier, Continuous/Cost improvement project support, and capacity/mix/supply planning with Tier 1 supplier
- Project Presentation: At internship end, the internship project results and findings will be presented to the Supply Chain Operations team and Kestra executive leadership

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Experience Required:
- 2+ years in an undergraduate degree program for Supply Chain, Operations Management, or Industrial Engineering
- Strong written and oral communication skills
Preferred:
- Experience working with Med-Tech Products
- Experience with business-system based demand forecast, supply plan, and inventory visualization tools
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Indoor open office environment
- Minimal noise volume typical to an office environment
- Extended/overtime hours when needed
- Drug-free
INTERNSHIP ELIGIBILITY:
- Must be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within the past 6 months
- Must not have completed one year of continual employment with Kestra Medical Technologies
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must possess unrestricted work authorization
- Must provide own transportation to/from work
- Must successful complete and pass a criminal and employment background screening that meets the allowable FDA requirements and is in accordance with EEOC rules and regulations
- Must successfully pass a pre-internship drug screen
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Frequent repetitive motions that may include wrists, hands and/or fingers, such as keyboard and mouse usage
- Frequent stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods of time
- Frequent computers use
- Frequent phone and other business machine use
- Occasional lifting up to 20 pounds
TRAVEL:
- Occasional travel, domestic and international, may be required, less than 10%
