Sr Accountant / Assistant Controller

We are in need of an organized, efficient and qualified Senior Accountant / Assistant Controller to join the Finance Department. This position will manage both the general accounting functions and accounting staff to ensure the success of finance related directives, projects and initiatives as assigned.

Primary Responsibilities:

· Prepare financial statements and analysis

· Maintain multiple general ledgers

· Reconcile all balance sheet accounts timely and accurately

· Cash management reporting

· Maintain schedules for fixed assets, depreciation, repairs and maintenance

· Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll process and reports

· Manage sales invoicing and maintain related sales schedules

· Maintain all accounting procedures and processes

· Analyze financial information monthly/quarterly/annually

· Maintain accounting software

· Maintain document management software

· Manage internal controls related to safeguarding assets

· Participate in annual audits with preparation of work papers and schedules

· Assist Director of Finance

Requirements

· Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience

· CPA not required, but equivalent training/experience

· Minimum 5 years related accounting experience

· Prior payroll processing experience

· MS Office with advanced Excel skills required

· Sage Business/300 experience preferred

· Flexible to changes in assigned work responsibilities

· Exceptional attention to detail and ability to multi-task

· Self-starter with strong analytical skills and an eye for process improvement

· Effective at meeting departmental deadlines

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
