We are hiring at Alliance Enterprises for a Software Business Analyst to join our team in Olympia, Washington!

Salary Range $75,000 – $96,000

The successful candidate will work in a hybrid work model anywhere within commutable distance of our office in Olympia, Washington!
Position Summary:
This position acts independently with minimal supervision and can determine their own work priorities in collaboration with the product and project management teams. Key priorities for this senior business analyst will be to gather, define and prioritize customer requirements in support of multiple projects to add features and functionality to our enterprise-level case management software and external user portals. There are opportunities to define requirements for the product plan on two subscription applications supporting tribal and community partners in vocational rehabilitation.
What your day will look like:
- Gather, review, analyze, validate, and evaluate business systems, processes and user needs
- Take lead in discovery and Level of Effort (LOE) process in support of the budgetary estimate process
- Gather information from end users to document business, functional, system, and data requirements for customer-facing and internal projects through discovery and work sessions
- Assess available technologies and recommend solutions to customer and Alliance teams on complex projects
- Develop customer-facing requirements documents based on information gathered for non-complex projects
- Create user stories and documentation to facilitate the technical approach to design and development team
- Coordinate with testing team and assist with creating test scripts to ensure user acceptance criteria are fulfilled
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Maintain quality documentation by following established formatting standards and styles
- Participate in weekly workload reviews to ensure project and release deadlines are met
- Ability to assist as requested to prioritize team workload
- Participate in analyst training activities to learn and grow in the Business Analyst position
- Provide weekly updates for any assigned work; communicate any delays immediately to ensure proper customer communication
- Ability to contribute to objectives by completing assigned tasks each quarter
- Review procedural changes as requested to provide feedback to management
Required Education and Experience:
- 4+ years’ experience in business analysis work, specifically in requirements gathering for software projects
- Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in business administration, computer science, management information systems, or a related field
- Experience and education may be substituted for one another
- Proficient in critical thinking and problem-solving
- Working knowledge of business processes and systems, programming and systems analysis procedures, project techniques and practices
- Must be able to meet deadlines
- Hold any one of the following IIBA Certifications or its equivalent: ECBA, CCBA, CBAP or have the ability to obtain the certification within 6 months of hire
- Extensive experience with creating user stories and test scenarios/scripts
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal, is essential
- Legally authorized to work in the US
