Full Job Description
DomainTools is seeking a Program Manager to take our operational excellence to the next level. This role is intended for operations experts who go beyond the technical details of a schedule, acting as coaches and thought partners to bring complex projects to life. A successful candidate will be well organized, collaborative, and experienced in working with remote teams.
As our Program Manager you will own our Product Lifecycle Development and New Product Introduction processes. This will require the management of multiple simultaneous programs, tracking status, schedule, and managing scope. (typical programs include software release development, product launches, pricing and GTM updates, and services migrations.) You will be expected to raise visibility of blockers and report project risks as they develop, and to partner closely with the development organization in ensuring on-target delivery.
This is a senior role reporting directly to the Chief Product Officer, joining the R&D leadership alongside our VPs of Engineering, Research, and Products. The right person for us will have a Support oriented mentality, wanting to enable the peer development organizations and partner together to build a path to great things. Location: Remote - US
Compensation: $120,000 -$150,000 + 10% Annual Bonus
Requirements
Primary Responsibilities
- Collaborate across R&D and GTM to promote a smooth process from idea to product launch.
- Coordinate and manage priorities of multiple, simultaneous cross-team programs
- Track and monitor phases and milestones linked to structured phases, proactively detect and resolve obstacles before they delay the completion.
- Provide situational awareness for the currently supported programs to relevant stakeholders.
- Act as a “Chief of Staff” to the CPO, assisting with operational meeting cadence, team planning sessions, budgeting and planning cycles, and other similar organization-wide planning efforts.
Qualifications and Requirements
- 8+ years of experience as a Program Manager
- Familiarity with Jira/Confluence/Bitbucket (Atlassian) tools.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Self-starter with high levels of initiative, commitment and energy.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and organize work to meet deadlines.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Analytical and problem solving skills.
- An ability to work to tight deadlines and within constraints
- Experience working with a distributed team and collaborating with co-workers in different time zones.
- Demonstrate good attention to detail, good judgment, showing logical decision-making.
Desirable Skills and Attributes
- Experience working in a CI/CD environment.
- Any relevant PM certifications.
- Familiarity with security best practices.
- Software engineering, systems engineering (or similar) experience.
- Computer Science degree, or related field.
