Requirements
Program Manager – Building Performance Team: This is where you come in.
We’re looking for a Program Manager – Building Performance Team to lead our energy standards initiatives with our Building Performance Team for Washington and Oregon. You will lead the strategy development to help our customers create and implement plans associated with building performance standards within municipalities, city ordinances, county, state and federal regulations and energy codes influencing both carbon reduction, and energy use within the built environment. As a Program Manager you will collaborate with and be supported by a diverse team of stakeholders across the organization. This role specifically will be tasked with implementing initiatives to support the organization's strategic direction as it pertains to ensuring that buildings comply with performance standards and regulations related to energy efficiency, overall sustainability goals and environmental impact. The Program Manager works in conjunction with identified Building Service and Construction members and leaders.
Top deliverables in the first year to be a hero:
Stakeholder Engagement, Communications and Alignment:
- Organize the Building Performance Standard program activities to align with the organization’s vision and strategic goals.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and team members to establish a unified approach to building performance management.
- Work closely with building owners, operators, tenants, and other stakeholders to promote adherence to performance standards and build a foundational understanding of the program’s benefits.
Building Performance Standards Program Monitoring and Data Analysis:
- Develop plans and implement energy management strategies to meet performance standards and reduce energy consumption.
- Create detailed reports and performance dashboards to track progress against established standards and targets.
- Actively update Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software with leads, notes, and customer characteristics.
Sustainable Design and Construction:
- Facilitate the development and implementation of design strategies to achieve current building performance standards.
- Collaborate with customers, engineers, and construction teams to ensure the incorporation of energy-efficient designs and materials into new construction and renovation projects.
Regulatory Oversight and Standards Implementation:
- Ensure all performance standards and guidelines are aligned to comply with current local, state, and federal regulations as well as industry best practices.
Financial and Economic Analysis:
- Identify and assist in securing funding opportunities, grants, and incentives to support energy projects.
- Prepare financial reports to track the economic performance of energy initiatives and provide insights for future planning.
Stakeholder Training & Continuous Improvement:
- Develop and deliver training workshops to educate stakeholders on energy efficiency practices, programs, and the importance of meeting performance standards.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by regularly reviewing and updating performance standards and strategies based on feedback and technological advancements.
The Program Manager for the Building Performance Team reports to Grant Gummow, Director of Business Integration. This role is part of a collaborative team engaged in various projects and initiatives to support our growing business. As a highly visible position, it involves interaction with all levels and functions within the organization.

- A degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent work experience
- Strong technical understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, including building performance, building controls, test and balance, and commissioning
- Proven ability to communicate, present, and influence key stakeholders effectively
- Experience with CRM software and proficiency in MS Office and MS Excel

Benefits
Compensation: $125,000 to $175,000 Annually
