Position Description
The IT Manager will manage the day-to-day operations of the IT Team in support of three offices. This includes
assessing existing systems and workflows, proposing, and implementing solutions that align with firm and
department goals. Reporting to the Director of Technology you'll be leading by example, fostering a culture of
efficiency, collaboration, and continuous improvement through effective change management.
Requirements
Primary Responsibilities:
- Developing and implementing strategic IT plans to support the firm’s goals, including upgrades to infrastructure and new technology deployments.
- Leading and managing the IT team and consultants across all office locations.
- Overseeing the maintenance and enhancement of IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, databases, and cloud computing resources to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Develop and maintain firmwide policy, standards, and best practices.
- Lead IT team in technical research and development that fosters innovation aligned with the firms architectural design practice.
- Manage IT initiatives from conception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
- Providing high-level technical support and troubleshooting complex IT issues, escalated by other IT staff.
- Negotiating with and managing relationships with software and hardware vendors.
- Developing and managing the IT budget, ensuring that expenditures are within the allocated resources.
Education/Skills/Experience:
- 7-10 years of experience in network and systems administration or related relevant experience.
- AEC firm experience, with preference given to those with prior Architectural experience.
- Multi-site IT management experience preferred.
- 1-3 years’ experience leading and/or managing IT team members.
- Experience designing, managing, and maintaining Active Directory domains, Azure, data networking, virtualization, storage, security, and related information systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex IT issues across diverse systems and software.
- Experience with configuration and implementation of ITSM and ITAM systems.
Benefits
At the time of posting this job, the hiring range for this position in Seattle is between $110,000 and $140,000 annually. Final salary decisions are made based upon the extent and relatedness of the candidate’s education and experience and considering internal equity and external market factors.
