Premier Needle Arts is a dynamic and rapidly growing group of companies in the crafting sector, and we are searching for an experienced Inventory Planner to join our team. The Challenge and The Opportunity
As an Inventory Planner, you will be responsible for maintaining inventory levels to meet current and upcoming demands. This includes:
- Predicting future inventory needs and planning for buying based on forecasts and sales data.
- Tracking and troubleshooting shipments to ensure they are complete, correct, and delivered on time.
- Identifying and resolving inventory discrepancies.
In the first 30 days, you will:
- Get familiar with all Crafts Group’s Quilt Division brands: Superior Threads and Connecting Threads.
- Learn and familiarize yourself with data maintenance procedures, team deliverables, routing, and proofreading processes.
- Start communicating and coordinating with teams across multiple departments.
- Become familiar with NetSuite (ERP system) and start updating invoice and shipment details.
- Learn how to set up promotional sales on items.
- Generate regular reports.
In the first 60 days, you will:
- Contribute to marketing plans by making suggestions based on trends.
- Understand launch cycles.
- Start tracking selling cycles and related marketing needs.
- Build relationships with vendors; communicate quality issues, manage returns, and coordinate label shipments.
- Generate ad-hoc reports to identify and propose new ideas that drive the business or improve efficiency.
- Manage the sale price of items based on promotional activity, sales channel, and closeout status.
In the first 90 days, you will:
- Enter new product information and maintain data for existing stock (e.g. discontinued, closeout, sale, etc.).
- Manage open purchase orders, informing Customer Service and Brand teams of any shipping delays.
- Manage inventory demand for multiple channels, including direct-to-consumer, Amazon, and consumer shows.
- Proofread catalog and marketing emails for correct inventory item information; ensure items are stocked at levels necessary to support the promotion.

Requirements
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- 3 or more years of work experience in purchasing, procurement, or inventory management, preferably in the eCommerce or direct-to-consumer marketspace.
- Bachelor’s degree in material management, business administration or a related field preferred.
- Proven organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to prioritize and multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
- Intermediate or better MS Excel skills.
- Familiarity with NetSuite or other ERP platforms.

Compensation:
The pay rate for this position will be based on the selected candidate's skills, experience, and geographic location or metropolitan area. Candidates from different locations within the United States may receive varying wage offers.
The starting pay range for our Vancouver, WA office is $31.00 to $35.50/hour plus bonus opportunities.
