Requirements
Estimating Intern: This is where you come in.
We’re looking for an Estimating Intern who will provide detailed project cost proposals, work with purchasing to obtain equipment and material pricing from suppliers and subcontractors to maintain competitive pricing and perform take-offs of conceptual design/build systems or plans and specifications. - Eagerness and willingness to learn! Learn and understand the present MacDonald-Miller systems including standards, methods, forms, and computer programs, as well as current industry practices and our state-of-the-art technologies.
- Ask a lot of questions! You’ll increase your knowledge by learning from your high-performing Estimating teammates and by studying HVAC and plumbing design.
- Work hard! The Estimating Intern will work on detailed cost proposals with Estimating team, as well as working closely with Purchasing and Project Management teams.
The Estimating Intern reports to Jeff Philips – Director of Estimating on a collaborative team working on a variety of projects and initiatives to support our growing business. This highly visible role interacts with all levels and functions within the organization.

- A track record of delivering on projects, in school or in work, in a timely manner while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Expertise leveraging the knowledge you’ve gained so far from the degree you’re in the process of obtaining in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or other related field. REQUIRED.

Benefits
Compensation: You will be paid $24/hr for the duration of your internship.

Our Seattle HQ office (17930 International Blvd, SeaTac, WA 98188) has easy access to the SeaTac International Airport, ample secured parking, and newly renovated office facilities - not to mention great views!
