We are looking for a skilled Freight Broker to join our dynamic team and help us grow our presence in the market.
Job Description: We are seeking an experienced and motivated Freight Broker to manage our growing portfolio of freight operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and carriers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and secure new business opportunities by building relationships with shippers and carriers.
- Negotiate freight rates with carriers and customers to maximize profitability.
- Coordinate and manage the shipment process from start to finish, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality service.
- Monitor shipment status, resolving any issues that may arise during transit.
- Maintain accurate records of all transactions, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Stay updated with industry trends and market conditions to provide strategic insights and recommendations.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Freight Broker or in a similar logistics role.
- Strong understanding of the transportation and logistics industry.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
- Proficient in using transportation management systems (TMS) and other relevant software.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred but not required.
