Buttonsmith is a fast paced, community minded tech printer and manufacturer of merchandise for candidates, causes, community groups and businesses. We make things people want to show their values. Our custom printed products are created in the USA in our union shop. We are proud to be creating the future of American manufacturing and printing, right here in Redmond. The job entails operating, provisioning, maintaining, printing and manufacturing equipment as part of small teams, processing and mailing out ordered merchandise.
Buttonsmith Inc. is hiring - immediately - for the fall election season. Union jobs. We print and make cool stuff, including for Democratic candidates/Community causes/Businesses/Individuals. And we really need more people to help!
Jobs start at $22+/hour, benefits depending on hours, include full ORCA passes, health insurance, short and long term disability, free food, vision insurance, dental insurance, union membership, awesome coworkers, and the satisfaction of making cool things and helping to support out communities and change our country.
Must be over 18 (contact us if you are 16 or 17, we are processing a minority work permit) and legally able to work in the US. Must be able to commute to Redmond (and we are on the B line and provide free ORCA passes to all employees).

This is an in person position. The person who fills this position will spend most of their time helping with our T-shirt printing line, to fulfill large and small orders for customized t-shirts, and helping with other product printing and assembly, from lanyards to yard signs to embroidered hats.
You will need to be:
- A reliable worker who shows up and delivers, day after day.
- Able to spend a full hour shift on your feet and in motion.
- Able to lift 55 pounds, retrieve stock from a ladder, stay focused throughout a production run.
- Careful about details, paying close attention so every tee and product looks great.
- Able to take directions, listen to instructions, take part in individual and shared process and problem solving.
- A good learner, able to adjust as our company grows, adds new equipment, and evolves new processes and tasks.
- A team player who flexible for all hands and special work on tasks outside your usual range of activities
- Able to take on overtime hours when needed.
- Extra points if you’re mechanically inclined and can fix some equipment problems yourself
Requirements
- Prior experience in manufacturing operations is a plus but not a requirement.
- Experience making, sewing, repairing, or crafting things as a hobby is also a plus.
- On the job training will be provided.
- You must be legally able to work in the United States
- You must be at least 18 years of age (at present - please contact us if 16 or 17)
