Position: Employment Litigation Associate - Midlevel
Location: Seattle

Direct Counsel is seeking a midlevel Employment Litigation Associate to join a prominent law firm in Seattle. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of employment litigation experience and a broad understanding of federal and Washington employment laws and regulations. We encourage applications from candidates at large established defense firms or smaller firms handling sophisticated employment defense matters.

In this role, the associate will focus on employment litigation, providing legal support and representation to clients. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident, self-motivated associate who is eager to build a comprehensive employment practice in a collegial environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Represent clients in employment litigation cases, providing strategic legal advice and advocacy.
  • Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, including pleadings and motions.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Stay updated on federal and state employment laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Participate in hearings, depositions, and trial preparation activities.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
  • Minimum of three years of employment litigation experience.
  • Membership in the Washington State Bar (or pending).
  • Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Competitive salary range of $205,000 to $330,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
