Lithos Carbon is an innovative early-stage carbon removal company and market leader in the enhanced rock weathering space. We specialize in the development and commercial deployment of cutting-edge technologies to combat climate change and improve soil health for agricultural lands. Our mission is to foster sustainable agricultural practices while removing CO₂ from the atmosphere.
As our Community Engagement Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in performing community outreach, building relationships, and using data to gain insights within the communities we operate in.
The Community Engagement Coordinator is either a hybrid or remote role at Lithos depending on employee location. Employees in the greater Seattle area will be expected to work from the office 3 days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) and from home 2 days a week (Monday and Friday).
Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional Initiatives: Work closely with our growth team to support the health and happiness of our grower network through community-driven initiatives.
- Community engagement: Create and manage grower-focused communication, including newsletters, and informational materials.
- Data Collection and Analysis: Conduct qualitative data collection within farming communities to develop operational and farm insights and improve our program.
- Partnership Management: Build and manage key partnerships with agricultural organizations, community groups, and other stakeholders.
- Event Coordination: Plan, coordinate, and execute events tailored for growers to promote engagement and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- Passion for sustainable agriculture or climate change mitigation
- Strong writing and communication skills with the ability to create engaging, precise, and clear content.
- Experience storytelling data through visualization tools such as Figma or Canva.
- Experience in planning and coordinating in-person and virtual events.
- Experience working with customer or community retention-focused programs, and developing retention-focused pipelines or touchpoints.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience in customer success, customer engagement, partnership management, or a related field.
- Experience working in a fast-growing and rapidly-changing industry.
- Ability to work comfortably with MacOS, Google Drive, Google Sheets, Google Docs, Gmail, and Slack.
- Basic to intermediate experience with GIS tools and spatial analysis is a plus.
- Experience working with minority communities or in a role focused on inclusivity is a plus.
