THE ROLE:
Reporting to the Senior Director of Account Management, a Commercial Intern will be the contact point on a set list of accounts. The CI will be an advocate for the customer as well as a resource to be utilized in order to allow the AM’s to spend their time selling. A CI should be comfortable reaching out to current customers to uncover new opportunities and to foster customer satisfaction. A CI will be expected to become proficient in the navigation of our portal and public website, our CRM (Salesforce) and be well-versed in our suite of services.
This role would suit a university Junior or Senior capable of operating in a fast paced startup environment, and looking to learn the ins and outs of selling in the tech sector. The ability to operate independently and work effectively in a remote environment is a must.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
- Work with the Account Management team to develop a sales strategy across the account list - You will drive growth from your customers and have responsibility for delivering to revenue targets
- Develop a pipeline of deals with a combination of outbound sales prospecting and inbound leads supported by our marketing team
- Arrange PacketFabric portal demos for prospects with the support of our Account Management and Sales Engineering teams
- Consistent Salesforce updates to support accurate reporting within the business
- Collaborate with marketing, product management, AM’s and CI peers to optimize both territory and PacketFabric’s overall success
- Monitor for renewals and follow up
- Email campaign creation in conjunction with Marketing
- Uncover new projects/opps with current customers – increase revenue through upsell and cross-sell
- Maintain living, updated customer contacts/roles in Salesforce
- Advocate for the customer
- Coordinate Welcome and Onboarding calls
- Research - customer documents and internal services
WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

- Ongoing progress toward a Bachelor’s Degree
- Ability to build rapport with prospective customers and collaborate with a variety of internal groups including customer success/services, engineering, marketing, and sales operations
- Ability to work both independently from home as well as collaboratively within a team environment
