Full Job Description
We are looking for an outgoing and knowledgeable Chocolate Ambassador to join our team and share the delightful world of chocolate with our guests. As a Chocolate Ambassador, you will be the face of our chocolate tours, providing world-class customer service and immersive and educational experiences for guests as they explore the history, production process, and flavors of our chocolate.

Schedule: Onsite, must be available to work Monday – Saturday 9am – 6pm. Full-time and/or part-time!
Compensation: $21.00/hour.
Reports to: Director of Retail.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Tour Guiding: Lead engaging and informative chocolate tours, taking visitors through the journey of chocolate.
- Chocolate Tasting/Special Events: Conduct chocolate tastings, introducing guests to various types of chocolates, origins, and flavor profiles, while highlighting unique characteristics.
- Customer Interaction: Interact with tour participants in a friendly and approachable manner, answering their questions and ensuring they have an enjoyable experience.
- Retail/Sales: Greet customers warmly, listen attentively to their preferences, and provide expert guidance to help them find the perfect chocolates for their needs.
- Stock Management: Monitor and maintain inventory levels, ensuring that shelves are well-stocked, organized, and visually appealing.
- POS Transactions: Process customer transactions efficiently and accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system, handling cash, credit cards, and other payment methods.
- Customer Service: Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and concerns with professionalism and courtesy, striving to resolve any issues promptly.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure the safety of guests during tours, adhering to health and safety guidelines at all times.
- Store Maintenance: Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of the store, including regular tidying, dusting, and restocking.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other team members to enhance the overall tour experience, assisting in tour planning and coordination.
- Event Support: Assist in organizing and supporting chocolate-related events and workshops as required.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication skills, able to effectively convey information and engage customers.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, Saturdays, and some holidays, to accommodate the store's operating hours.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous in maintaining product displays, ensuring accurate pricing, and providing a visually appealing store environment.
- Energetic, enthusiastic self-starter.
- Genuine interest and enthusiasm for where chocolate comes from, how it’s made and how to taste it, and sharing that knowledge with customers.
- Punctual and reliable.
Requirements
- 2+ years of previous customer service and/or retail experience.
- Comfortable with public speaking.
Physical Demands: This position may require you to lift up to 20 pounds, and require standing and walking for extended periods.
