Requirements
Building Controls Associate Account Executive (Sales Development Program): This is where you come in.
We’re seeking a Building Controls Associate Account Executive to join our Sales Development Program (SDP), an entry-level role designed to provide a comprehensive, hands-on learning experience. During your first year, you'll immerse yourself in operations, project workflows, and technical knowledge of building automation systems (BAS). Collaborating closely with operations, engineering, and sales teams, you'll gain the skills and expertise needed to build a successful career in sales and account management. Top deliverables in the first year to be a hero:
- Learning & Development
- Immerse yourself in the company's operations, processes, and workflows to build a comprehensive understanding of building automation systems (BAS).
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field technicians to learn about system design, installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
- Participate in training sessions and earn certifications in BAS technologies, including controls, energy management, and smart building solutions.
- Shadow senior sales representatives to understand client engagement, proposal development, and account management best practices.
- Operational Support
- Assist in project coordination and documentation to gain hands-on experience with project lifecycles and deliverables.
- Analyze technical drawings, specifications, and submittals to deepen your knowledge of system designs and client needs.
- Contribute to the preparation of reports and presentations for internal teams and client communications.
- Transition to Sales Role
- Begin cultivating client relationships with guidance from senior account executives.
- Develop the skills to identify client needs and recommend tailored BAS solutions.
- Build a solid foundation in sales strategies, including lead generation, pricing models, and negotiation techniques.
- Collaboration
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure a smooth transition from operational learning to sales responsibilities.
- Foster effective communication with internal teams and clients to align on project and sales goals.
The Building Controls Associate Account Executive reports to George Pfeiffer, VP of Building Controls, and is part of a dynamic, collaborative team driving projects and initiatives that fuel our company’s growth. This high-profile role provides exposure to all levels and departments within the organization, offering a unique opportunity to build relationships and contribute meaningfully across functions.

Benefits
Compensation: $29-$38 per hour
