Associate Attorney

Career Renew is recruiting for one of its clients an Associate Attorney - this is a hybrid role in Seattle, WA, US.

We are seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join a highly regarded legal team in Seattle. This role is ideal for candidates with a solid background in civil litigation, particularly in one or more of the following practice areas:

• General Litigation Defense
• Land Use/Environmental Law
• Transportation/Trucking Defense
• Employment Defense

Key Responsibilities:

• Draft, review, and revise legal documents while advising clients on their legal rights.
• Conduct research, gather evidence, and develop strategies for litigation or defense.
• Represent clients in court and administrative settings, interpreting laws and regulations to manage legal proceedings.
• Collaborate with experts to prepare for depositions and trials.
• Prepare and defend client witnesses during depositions and draft legal responses.
• Maintain a minimum billing expectation of 1,800 hours annually while managing litigation activities, including hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree with at least 4+ years of legal or private practice experience.
• Active license to practice law in Washington State (additional licenses in Oregon and/or Idaho are a plus).
• Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Proven track record of meeting annual billing expectations.
