Join our client, a reputable construction company with over 50 years of expertise in the asphalt and construction sector, as they seek a Project Manager to become a vital part of their team based in Kent. This full-time, salaried role promises an exciting and fulfilling work environment, complete with excellent benefits.
As a frontrunner in the manufacturing and construction of premium asphalt pavements, our client serves a diverse range of private and public sector customers. They are on the lookout for a talented professional with a solid background in estimating and managing municipal and heavy highway construction projects, both as a prime contractor and subcontractor.
In the capacity of Project Manager, you will lead construction projects from the bidding stage through to successful completion, ensuring effective communication and fostering productive relationships with clients, contractors, and municipal bodies. Your responsibilities will include preparing cost estimates, crafting proposals, and developing bid documents while actively participating in local government and community initiatives.
This role demands strong leadership abilities, adept multitasking in a lively environment, and a commitment to safety and enhancing customer satisfaction. Please note that occasional evening and weekend work, along with local travel, may be required.
Requirements
- We are seeking candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or an equivalent technical background and hands-on experience.
- Ideally, you will have at least five years of project management and estimating experience in the construction or asphalt paving sector.
- A strong grasp of mathematics, computer applications, and document analysis is essential.
- A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are necessary.
- This position requires full-time availability in the office.
