Join the dynamic team at The Legacy at North Augusta as a Utility Aide (Dishwasher) and play a vital role in enhancing the lives of our residents! This position is not just about washing dishes; it's about being an essential part of a community that values care and teamwork. You'll operate dish machines, hand wash oversized pots and pans, and assist with various kitchen tasks. Please note that this is an on-call position, requiring flexibility to work as needed.
Your contributions will ensure that our kitchen remains clean and sanitized, creating a safe environment for both staff and residents. In addition to dishwashing, you'll engage in transporting food products, stocking inventory, and managing waste. This multifaceted role offers you the chance to work in a lively kitchen atmosphere where your efforts directly impact the quality of life for those we serve. Requirements
- Experience: Previous experience in senior care is a plus, but not mandatory; we provide comprehensive training on our processes and culture.
- Commercial Cooking or Food Preparation: At least 1 year of experience in commercial cooking or healthcare food preparation preferred but not required.
- Team Player Mentality: A collaborative spirit and willingness to support fellow team members.
- Customer Service Skills: Excellent customer service attitude to enhance the dining experience for our residents.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs.)
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on cleanliness and adherence to sanitation standards.
- Time Management: Ability to efficiently manage tasks in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Communication Skills: Basic verbal communication skills to follow instructions and collaborate effectively.
- Flexibility: Willingness to adapt to various tasks and shifts as needed.
- Safety Awareness: Understanding of food safety practices and procedures.
