TechFlow, a leading innovator in digital transformation, has an immediate opportunity for a Technical Writer to join our team! In this role, you will create and maintain clear, comprehensive, and user-friendly documentation to ensure the clients users—federal agencies, developers, and administrators—can easily leverage the platform’s capabilities. The ideal candidate will bring experience in technical writing, proficiency with tools such as Microsoft Office, GitHub, and Docker, and a strong understanding of cloud technologies. Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Documentation: Create and maintain a wide range of technical documentation.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to gather technical information and ensure that documentation accurately reflects the latest platform features and updates.
  • Content Strategy: Establish and maintain a consistent documentation style guide to ensure all content is clear, accurate, and accessible for users of varying technical backgrounds.
  • Version Control: Use GitHub (and GitLab, if applicable) to manage documentation versions, collaborate with team members, and track changes over time.
  • Tool Proficiency: Utilize Microsoft Office Suite for document creation, Docker for content related to cloud infrastructure and containerization, and GitHub for version control.
  • User-Centric Focus: Write clear, actionable content that is useful to a wide range of audiences, including federal agency developers, administrators, and IT professionals.
  • Quality Assurance: Review and edit documentation produced by other team members to ensure clarity, accuracy, and alignment with TechFlow and customer standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of professional experience in technical writing, preferably in cloud technologies or software development, with a focus on federal or government IT solutions.
  • Solid understanding of cloud computing principles, especially within the context of federal cloud services, security, and compliance (e.g., FedRAMP, NIST).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust Security Clearance.
  • Tool Proficiency
    • Microsoft Office Suite: Strong skills in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for creating technical documentation.
    • GitHub: Familiarity with version control and collaboration using GitHub repositories.
    • Practical knowledge of Docker, particularly in cloud infrastructure and containerized environments.
    • Experience with GitLab for version control and CI/CD-related documentation.

  • Exceptional attention to detail to ensure technical accuracy and consistency in all documentation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and concisely.
