Job Description:
The Technical Writer shall be responsible for requirements gathering and translation from business to technical. Responsible for requirements documentation, flowcharts, reports/dashboards and deliverables as well as, but not limited to the following:
- Gather business requirements for existing data warehouse process and applications in production interviewing tech/SMEs.
- Schedule walkthrough and business review to validate requirements.
- Identify and validate and document metadata usage and data lineage.
- Map business process flows using Visio anticipates in research and recommends appropriate solutions.
- Exercises judgment, guides and advises less experienced team members as appropriate within their assigned applications
- Provide outstanding service to all customers.
- Leverages business knowledge & principals with technical knowledge of applications, conducts root cause analysis
- Documents findings to drive defect resolution.
- Work with internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of the product and the documentation requirements; Create/maintain the information architecture based on requirements of this SOW and additional clarification received from COR;
- Produce high-quality documentation that meets applicable standards and is appropriate for its intended audience;
- Ensure quality of all reports and deliverables under this contract.
Requirements
Work Experience: Four or more years of professional experience. The Technical Writer shall have proven excellent written and oral communications skills with the ability to produce clear, concise documentation. In addition, the Technical Writer shall have strong critical thinking skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a team environment.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Technical Writing, Computer Science, Information Technology).
2. Proven experience as a technical writer or similar role.
Skills:
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in documentation tools (e.g., Microsoft Word, Visio, Jira, Confluence, etc.).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with the SDLC and healthcare industry, particularly Medicare and Medicaid.
- Experience with data warehousing and metadata management.
- Knowledge of Medicare and/or Medicaid fraud, waste and abuse or program integrity work.
