TACOM Vehicle Assessment Representative - Part Time

The Vehicle Assessment Representative (VAR) will assist in assessing all current families of Army tactical and combat ground vehicles managed by TACOM at various Army installations both CONUS and OCONUS. The VAR will travel to identified locations and work alongside a team to inspect Army equipment for corrosion. The VAR will identify, classify, and report corrosion on Army ground equipment. The VAR will interact with Soldiers by providing guidance and demonstrations on corrosion-related maintenance actions recommended by the TACOM Corrosion Prevention and Control Program. The VAR will assist in the development and review of corrosion survey dashboards and corrosion assessment reports for each Army installation surveyed. 

Requirements

-Must be able to work a part time schedule that averages about 1 week a month

-Must be able to travel 100% of time

-Must have a high school diploma or equivalent

-Must have prior military experience

-Must be able to maneuver in, on, and under vehicles to conduct inspections.

Desired Skills

· Active security clearance

· Prior service in the Army

· Experience conducting or supervising Army field maintenance

-A degree (associates or bachelors) in engineering is desired.
