Systems Administrator

Chantilly, VA

We are seeking a skilled Systems Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will manage our Windows client server environment hosted in AWS, ensuring seamless operation across development, test, and production environments.

Responsibilities:

Server Management:

- Manage virtual servers via AWS infrastructure.

- Oversee Windows Server 2019 (1 server, 1 client) and Windows Server 2016.

- Daily monitoring of all servers.

Patching:

- Schedule and review patches for Windows Server 2019 (1 server, 1 client) and Windows Server 2016 across development, test, and production environments.

Communication:

- Communicate daily with medical lab technicians.

Agile Sprint Management:

- Update Agile sprint user stories daily.

- Ensure completion of user stories within a 2-week sprint timeframe.

Service Desk Support:

- Windows Server 2016 outages.

- Lab order application outages.

- Label printer configuration issues.

Other Duties as Assigned:

- Renew PKI certificates.

- Renew administrative accounts and change passwords.

Requirements

Mandatory Skills:

Educational Background:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.

Experience:

- Proven experience managing Windows client server environments.

- Experience with AWS infrastructure.

- Familiarity with Agile methodologies.

Technical Skills:

- Proficient in managing Windows Server 2019 and 2016.

- Strong troubleshooting skills.

- Knowledge of PKI certificates and administrative account management.

Soft Skills:

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

- Strong organizational and time management skills.
