Full Job Description

The Surgical Services Manager is responsible for the management and coordination of all aspects of the surgical services department. This includes oversight of daily operations, budget management, staffing, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care. The Surgical Services Manager collaborates with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes and enhance the overall efficiency of the department.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and direction to the surgical services team
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards
  • Participate in the recruitment, hiring, and training of surgical staff
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of staff members
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
  • Manage the department budget and resources effectively

Requirements

    • At least two years of current experience in peri-operative nursing in which leadership and management abilities have been demonstrated is required
    • Current management experience in Peri-operative Nursing Practice is required
    • BSN preferred
    • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider and current Virginia State licensure by the State Board of Nursing as a Registered Professional Nurse are required
  •  MUST HAVE MIN 5 YEARS RN OR EXPERIENCE IN AN ACUTE CARE
