Substitute Teachers (D.C.)

POSITION

Substitute Teacher (Washington, DC) (SY 2023-2024)

Schedule: 7:30 am - 4:00 pm EST Monday through Friday (excluding school holidays)

COMPENSATION

$150 - $190 per day based on education and certifications

The salary for this position is competitive and commensurate with experience.

OUR PARTNER CHARTER

The school is a public charter school from Pre-K through 7th grade that serves a diverse group of learners across three locations in Wards 5 and 6. They use the EL Education model, which emphasizes interactive, hands-on, project-based learning, and focuses on the whole child.

Requirements

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field (Must have)
• Valid teaching certification/license (Nice to have)
• Minimum of 1 years of teaching experience in a classroom setting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and other staff members.
• Thorough understanding and expertise in the subject area being taught.
• Strong classroom management skills.
• Proficiency in using educational technology tools.
• Experience in lesson planning and preparation.
