Structural Designer

Responsibilities

• Junior- to mid-level CSA designer, preferably with experience in heavy industrial
• Well versed in AutoCAD
• Evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering design techniques
• Documentation of each phase of the design project is required and may be transmitted to the customer
• Review the details of each completed task to ensure that work and the work completed under his/her direction is error free
• Able to maintain the quality of the project in order to provide the customer with a design that is error free
• Consider safety in every phase of the design
• Meet all design safety requirements such as NEC, BOCA, NESC, customer requirements, and safety statement
• Additional skills qualifications (highly preferred, but not required)
• Revit

Requirements

• A.A. or A.S. is preferred but not required.
• At least 5 years of experience in structural design.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Inventor or Solidworks preferred
• Advanced Steel is a plus but not a requirement
• Must be able to multitask and work multiple projects weekly
• Must be able to go on-site for field work.  5% travel
