Full Job Description
LAC Federal is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Visual Information Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing visual information and graphic art products for a variety of platforms including print, exhibits, web-page design, digital audio/video, and online media. The candidate must possess expert knowledge in graphic design, be proficient in running graphic production equipment, and demonstrate mastery of relevant software applications.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and design high-quality visual information and graphic art products for print, exhibits, web-page design, digital audio/video, and online media.
- Collaborate with team members and other departments to conceptualize and execute visually compelling designs that effectively communicate the desired message.
- Utilize advanced knowledge of graphic design principles to create aesthetically pleasing and functional visual products.
- Operate and maintain graphic production equipment to ensure high-quality output and adherence to project deadlines.
- Design and develop digital media content including animations, videos, and interactive web elements.
- Stay updated with the latest design trends, software updates, and industry best practices to continuously enhance the quality of work produced.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and consistency in quality across all visual information products.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in fine arts, communications, graphic design or animation
- May substitute 7 years of highly relevant experience for a Bachelor's degree
- Expert proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Cloud Production Premium or Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and After Effects.
- Demonstrated knowledge in designing and developing visual information and graphic art products.
- Strong understanding of typography, color theory, and layout design.
- Ability to run and maintain graphic production equipment effectively.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience working in a military or government setting.
- Active SECRET Clearance
- Knowledge of Navy-specific visual information guidelines and standards.
