Senior Systems Administrator (Unix/ Linux) (Contingent)

This position is contingent on contract award** First Division Consulting is hiring for a Senior Unix/Linux Systems Administrator to support a Department of the Navy (DoN) customer in Dahlgren, VA. Position is contingent of successful award of contract. First Division Consulting provides high-quality, professional services to government and commercial sectors. First Division Consulting is hiring for a Senior Unix/Linux Systems Administrator who will provide support to an RDT&E environment. The selected applicant will manage the functionality and efficiency of a group of windows workstations and servers and perform hardware and software installations.

Requirements

• Six (6) years of professional experience in Unix and/or Linux system administration of networks and software systems
• Experience in system backup and recovery; basic software management; security management and library management; installation and configuration of hardware; operational systems and COTS software; operating computer systems in different operating environments; and sizing, performance, tuning, hardware/software/network trouble shooting and resource allocation.
• Qualified experience in different network protocols including TCP/IP and major network security tools such as: firewalls, knowledge of computing and networking vulnerabilities, attach methods and latest detection methods.
• T5/T5R investigation.
• One of the following IT Certifications: CASP+, CCNP Security, or CCSP.

Salary range: $130,000 - $190,000
