Senior SQL Developer

Astor & Sanders Corporation (Astor), an award-winning IT solutions provider headquartered in McLean, VA, is seeking a Senior SQL Developer to fill a critical role on an application modernization project at the DoD. This position is 100% remote,

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Architect, develop and maintain enterprise relational (SQL Server) and non-relational databases for a critical Enterprise Application working in an Agile environment
• Responsible for data migration, data optimization/performance tuning, data quality, data security, data operations, and data governance
• Responsible for maintaining all aspects of the database to include, but not limited to, performance monitoring, capacity planning, problem diagnosis and remediation, and logical and physical design of all databases

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
• 5+ years of experiences in relational (SQL Server) and non-relational database development for Enterprise Application
• Expert proficiency in all flavors of Structured Query Language (SQL)
• Experience with database development life cycle working in an Agile environment
• Experience integrating data from disparate sources
• Must be a US Citizen
• Must have previous DoD experience, and active DoD clearance
• Must have or be able to obtain in 2 weeks an IAT-II Certification – translates to (CCNA Security, or CySA+, or GICSP, or GSEC, or Security+ CE, or CND, or SSCP)
