We are looking for a dynamic Senior Graphic Designer to join our team. The Senior Graphic Designer will create websites, designs, images, informational graphics, illustrations, briefings, and animation, including typography, visual concepts, Internet designs, interactive platforms, and documentation. The Senior Graphic Designer will develop, design, and edit all multimedia products, including videos, audio files, and motion graphic designs for websites and social media. They will also prepare drafts, present ideas, amend designs, and ensure that designs communicate desired messages and function properly. They will maintain a reusable and searchable indexed repository of artifacts and work with other staff on collaborative efforts, such as Curriculum and Communications tasks. They will ensure all content aligns with brand standards and is 508 compliant. 

  • Preferred location: National Capital Region
  • This position is contingent upon award.

Responsibilities: 

  • Develop graphics prototypes and supporting marketing materials   
  • Use Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop to produce professional marketing graphics, including but not limited to infographics, one-pagers, and flyers
  • Utilize client and internal feedback to create and revise graphics deliverables quickly  
  • Coordinate with managers to create training sessions to cross-train other team members and outside teams in PowerPoint and other graphic design best practices  
  • Support products for other workstreams, as required  
  • Ensure alignment of style, branding, and other graphical norms across multiple products and modalities for a consistent product suite.  
  • Proactively track and communicate project status with the supervisor, including potential mitigation strategies for when risks jeopardize deliverable timelines  
  • Deliver all final deliverables and intermediate drafts on time and accurately 
  • Attend internal coordination meetings as needed to present relevant updates in a factual, concise manner  

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS)   
  • 4 Years of experience 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and SharePoint  
  • Expert in Microsoft PowerPoint, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop  
  • Working familiarity with project management software such as Asana (or Jira, Smart Sheets, etc.)  
  • Able to obtain a minimum of NACI (National Agency Check with Inquiries) for a Veterans Affairs Public Trust Clearance

  • Follows established workflow and naming convention procedures  
  • Demonstrates empathy while ensuring that stakeholder requirements are consistently met   
  • Manages details in deliverable production, customer interaction and action tracking   
  • Communicates with others in an effective and polite manner   
  • Assumes ownership and responsibility for assigned actions and/or tasks   
  • Government contracting experience
