Full Job Description

Spectrum is seeking a Senior Aerospace Engineer to offer full-time subject matter expertise to the Operational Test and Evaluation Force (OPTEVFOR) and the United Operational Test Team (UOTT). The role involves supporting and participating in operational test planning, reporting, and delivering report-quality technical products.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Collaborate with the F-35 test community to assist and facilitate operational testing of upgraded hardware and software on the F-35.
  • Contribute to the development of Test and Evaluation Master Plans (TEMP) to ensure accurate inclusion of Operational Test requirements.
  • Participate in ongoing assessment briefings to monitor the status of the system under test and the progress of the Operational Test.
  • Represent the organization's interests and positions for OPTEVFOR and the UOTT, attending local and national meetings through temporary travel and/or video tele-conferencing.
  • Provide input to operational test planning and data management/analysis documents to ensure the intelligent design of test execution, analysis, and reporting.
  • Contribute to the planning of test trials using modeling and simulation environments.
  • Offer assistance in managing the requirements and priorities for model and environment development, essential for conducting operational tests in the Joint Simulation Environment.
  • Create realistic scenarios for open air and simulation test activities.
  • Provide inputs for monthly status reporting.

Requirements

Required Skills:

Applicants must hold U.S. Citizenship due to the sensitive nature of customer requirements.

A minimum of 12 years of relevant experience or a Master's degree plus 10 years of experience from an ABET accredited program is a prerequisite.

An active Secret Clearance is mandatory.

Airborne operator experience with the USA, USN, or USMC, preferably in fighter aircraft, is desirable.

Experience in operational test activities, including planning, executing, and managing test activities to evaluate the effectiveness of a system under test, is required.
