Program Manager
Astor & Sanders Corporation (Astor) is an award-winning IT solutions provider headquartered in McLean, VA and is seeking a Program Manager. This role requires a hybrid work model of onsite in DMV locations 1-2x times per week (on average), remote, monthly travel to our HQ McLean VA office, and occasional travel within the U.S. (Subject to change by the federal client or HQ).
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate and implement PMI Project Management best practices in an ITIL environment that reduce risks, ensure projects are on time, meet quality, and improve service delivery
- Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the program, identifying opportunities and managing IT activities that meet current and future business requirements
- Implement and mature ITSM/ITIL processes that improve services, resolution times, and the Customer Experience (CX)
- Responsible for the daily oversight and management of 40+ employees that include but not limited to schedule, scope, finance management, corporate data calls, reporting, deliverables, meetings, risks, training, career paths, and other activities as identified
- Ensure deliverables and deadlines for program are met and to quality standards; Responsible for developing and maintaining robust plans like the Program Management and Quality Control plans in compliance with PWS requirements
- Responsible for ensuring the team achieve the Service Level Agreements; and addressing any non-conformances
- Responsible for providing the customer and executive management with monthly, quarterly and ad-hoc reports on performance of the contracts
- Effectively and timely communicate and manage expectations with team members and stakeholders
- Plan, schedule and manage timelines and milestones using appropriate tools for IT Projects.
- Responsible for the resources working for the individual task orders. This includes hiring, mentoring, performance reviews, and managing resources.
- Identify, log, and mitigate risks via a Risk Log
- Communicate, coordinate, and manage subcontractors supporting the program
- Support business development, proposal activities, and other HQ datacalls, as requested
- Additional duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a relevant field; or years of equivalent experience
- 8+ years of experience in program management, including leading complex IT projects with team sizes of 40+ employees
- 5+ years’ experience managing an IT team within an LAN/WAN Infrastructure and Network
- Active PMI Project Management Professional (PMP®) or PMI Program Management Professional (PgMP®) Certification; must provide number
- 8+ years supporting the federal government as a contractor
- 5+ years working in an ITSM/ITIL v3 environment, managing teams, and ensuring continual service improvements (CSI)
- 3+ years supporting Business Development activities such as capture management activities and developing written content for proposals
- Must be proficient in the Microsoft tool Suite that includes creating professional looking documents free of spelling errors, grammatical errors, and that are aesthetically pleasing
- Strong knowledge and experience with Agile Scrum development methodology
- Excellent communication, leadership, written, oral, and organizational skills
- Experience with cross-functional team leadership and senior-level stakeholder engagement
- Prior experience supporting business development processes that include capture support activities and proposal writing
- Exceptional leadership and organizational skill; must be a team player with a positive attitude
- Familiarity with the Shipley lifecycle processes (Business Development, Capture Management, Proposal Writing)
Desired Skills:
- Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or equivalent Agile certification
- Customer Experience training or certification
- ITIL v3 or V4 certification(s)
- Cloud certification(s)
- CISSP certification
- COMPTIA certification(s)
- APMP certification(s)
