TechOp Solutions International is looking for a Privacy Analyst to join our team at the Department of State. This role is crucial in assisting our client in navigating the complex landscape of privacy regulations and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and policies. As a Privacy Analyst, you will work with our client to assess risks, develop compliance strategies, and evaluate technology's impact on privacy initiatives.
*This role is predominantly on-site (initially for training/evaluation) in Arlington VA, with a hybrid schedule authorized by the agency*
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive privacy impact assessments and analyze privacy requirements for new projects, technologies, and initiatives.
- Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of privacy policies and procedures in alignment with regulatory requirements.
- Review and evaluate privacy-related documentation and risk assessments, providing guidance and recommendations for mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that privacy considerations are integrated into the organization's practices and processes.
- Support training sessions and workshops to enhance awareness of privacy-related issues among staff.
- Maintain documentation and report on compliance status, privacy incidents, and ongoing projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree.
- Minimum of 5+ years of privacy analysis experience, with expertise in creating, drafting, and reviewing, PIAs, PTA, SORNs, and other privacy-related documents
- Strong understanding of privacy.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Experience with privacy impact assessments and compliance efforts.
- Certification in privacy (CIPP, CIPM, etc.) is a plus.
- This position requires US Citizenship and an active security clearance.
