As a Physical Therapy Assistant on our team, you'll play a crucial role in our patients' recovery journeys. This position requires a unique blend of clinical skills, genuine compassion, and the ability to actively listen and respond to patients' needs while managing multiple responsibilities.
• Provide hands-on physical therapy treatments under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist
• Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, ensuring proper form and technique
• Demonstrate genuine care and empathy while motivating patients through their rehabilitation
• Carefully observe and document patients' progress, paying close attention to details
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team about treatment plans and progress
• Assist in the maintenance and set-up of therapy equipment
• Multitask efficiently to manage a caseload of patients with diverse needs
• Actively listen to patients' concerns and adapt treatments accordingly
• Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs and safety measures
• Collaborate closely with the rehabilitation team to ensure comprehensive patient care
Job Type - PRN/On Call
Requirements
• Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
• Current PTA license in good standing
• Minimum of 1 year experience as a PTA, preferably in a similar healthcare setting
• Strong knowledge of physical therapy techniques and modalities
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities
• Genuine compassion and patience when interacting with patients
• Proficiency in electronic health record systems
