Payroll Specialist I

Requirements

Accuracy and attention to detail are essential.  Confidentiality of all business, financial, and employee information is a must. Other duties may include, but not limited to: 

Payroll Duties: 

• Prepare and process payroll and associated information
• Collate and verify data and inputs into the payroll system
• Update payroll records and processes routine changes to employee records.
• Perform basic reconciliation and auditing processes during each pay cycle.
• Respond to pay-related inquiries from staff.
• Research and resolve errors or omissions.
• Follows all processing procedures, adheres to policies, and maintains confidentiality.

• Complete Certified Payroll Reports 

• Verification of employment notices – phone/paperwork  

• Weekly monitoring/auditing timesheets in ITAC's timekeeping software

• Import all time into payroll software (Paycom) and accounting software (Penta) on a weekly basis 

• Review and approve contract labor Invoices 

• Reconcile payroll between accounting software (Penta) and payroll software (Paycom)

• Train new hires on ITAC's timekeeping software

• Provide backup services for Payroll Supervisor 

• Assist with special projects as assigned 
• 24-30 hours, weekly (part-time). Pay is $17-$19/ hourly with previous experience considered

Qualifications:

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job.
• Previous work experience in a professional environment is preferred but not required.
