Full Job Description
A partner seeks a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in Triangle, VA, to support their Enterprise Tele-Behavioral Health Clinical Services contract with the Defense Health Agency (DHA). This position is fully remote within the US, following a two-week training period in San Antonio, TX.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct brief, evidenced-based virtual counseling for low to moderate acuity patients with acute mental health conditions.
- Develop, monitor, and document comprehensive treatment plans in accordance with the military health system model of behavioral health care.
- Exercise clinical judgment and support behavioral health service line policies and procedures.
- Demonstrate understanding of TRICARE and effectively communicate benefits to beneficiaries.
- Attend staff meetings for case discussion, education, and quality improvement.
- Provide treatment services to low and/or moderate acuity patients using virtual platforms.
- Collaborate with other medical specialties and provide professional consultation.
- Direct Quality Assurance within the area of responsibility.
- Update patient charts and information in a timely manner.
Requirements
- Doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology from an APA-accredited university.
- Completion of an APA-accredited pre-doctoral internship in professional psychology.
- Two years of post-graduate experience as a Clinical Psychologist using virtual platforms.
- Current, active, valid, unrestricted clinical license to practice Psychology independently.
- Ability to fulfill credentialing requirements and maintain relevant clinical privileges.
- Basic Life Support certification required; advanced certification does not supersede BLS.
- Ability to work remotely, with initial training in San Antonio, TX.
