Lead Developer

Astor & Sanders Corporation (Astor), an award-winning IT solutions provider headquartered in McLean, VA, is seeking a Lead Developer. This project hybrid with occasional meetings in DMV area.

Roles & Responsibilities:

The Lead Developer is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the project, guiding a team to analyze and solve complex project-related problems by creating innovative solutions that typically involve technology, methodology, tools, and solution components. The role includes providing application systems analysis, long and short-range plans for requirements definition, systems development, and systems maintenance. The Development Lead ensures the production of required documentation at both program and user levels and provides technical direction to programmers and business analysts to meet program deadlines.

• Lead a team to analyze and solve complex project-related problems.
• Develop innovative solutions involving technology, methodology, tools, and solution components.
• Provide applications systems analysis and develop long and short-range plans for requirements definition, systems development, and systems maintenance.
• Ensure the production of required documentation, including program-level and user-level documentation.
• Provide technical direction to programmers and business analysts.
• Ensure program deadlines are met.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• M.S. or B.S. degree in a related field.
• Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and training.
• Experience in information system design, including application programming on large-scale DBMS and the development of complex software to satisfy design objectives.
