Role Description

MBM Swim is seeking a part time detail-oriented and proactive Inventory and Fulfillment Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing inventory levels, processing orders, returns, and ensuring accurate and timely fulfillment of customer shipments. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining efficient operations and delivering exceptional service to our customers.

Location: Alexandria, VA

Schedule: Part-Time (24 hours per week)

Monday - Saturday

Hours: 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM OR 12:00PM - 4:00PM

Pay: $17/hr.- $18/hr. DOE

Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and document incoming shipments of swimwear inventory.
  • Organize and maintain inventory stock levels to ensure adequate supply.
  • Process customer orders accurately and efficiently, utilizing our inventory management system.
  • Manage exchanges and returns, including assessing item quality for restocking or disposal.
  • Identify and mark damaged items, maintaining accurate inventory records.
  • Pick, pack, and ship customer orders following company standards and shipping procedures.
  • Prepare shipping labels, packing slips, and other necessary documentation.
  • Conduct regular inventory counts and audits to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
  • Input inventory data and maintain accurate records in our inventory management system.
  • Coordinate with customer service to resolve order-related issues or inquiries.
  • Utilize Shopify for order processing and fulfillment tasks.
  • Employ Excel skills for data analysis, report generation, and inventory support.
  • Maintain warehouse cleanliness and organization.
  • Adhere to safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 2+ years' experience in inventory management, fulfillment, or warehouse operations required.
  • Experience working specifically with the e-commerce platform Shopify (preferred).
  • Experience with similar platforms such as BigCommerce, Squarespace Commerce, or Volusion is also considered advantageous
  • Ability to lift and move boxes or packages weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in using inventory management software and tools
  • Availability to work the required schedule
