Acentra seeks an Intensive Care Manager (part-time, remote within Virginia) to join our growing team.
Job Summary:
Are you a highly organized and compassionate individual with a license in Mental Health, we encourage you to apply for this position. Join our team of Full Time Intensive Care Managers (ICM) throughout Virginia. As an Intensive Care Managers, you will be tasked with reviewing all documents and recommendations, including determining if there is a clinical alignment.
In this position, you will play a critical role in supporting the Provider Community and Acentra Health Team, working with youth who are at-risk for residential placement. You will be responsible for reviewing clinical documentation against the medical necessity criteria to ensure the correct level of care is approved. You will champion a child-centered and family-focused approach to mental health support and develop an individual service plan related to the individual's goals and discharge plan.
*Position is remote but candidates must reside within the state of Virginia.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial and concurrent reviews for individuals that are at risk for residential placement, as well as other appropriate levels of care aligned with your scope of practice and experience.
- Overseeing mental health and substance abuse treatment services, to ensure their medical necessity and effectiveness.
- Participating in interdisciplinary team meetings to develop tailored care plans and discharge strategies for each youth's therapeutic journey.
- Providing educational support, and implementing interventions to elevate member care throughout the treatment process.
- Collaborating with diverse stakeholders, including Local Departments of Social Services, Community Services Boards, Community-based Service Providers, schools, Residential Psychiatric Treatment Facilities, and Therapeutic Group Homes.
- Engaging actively in quality improvement initiatives, encompassing data collection, monitoring, and analysis. Contributing to network growth by identifying and enlisting high-quality providers as needed.
Requirements
- Current and Active Licensure for the State of Virginia : Registered Nurse (RN); Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW); Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC); Licensed Marriage, Family Therapist (LMFT).
- A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in Intensive Care Management and post-degree in healthcare; behavioral health, psychiatric, and/or substance abuse healthcare settings.
- Proficiency in DSM-5-TR, adeptness in utilization management procedures, and extensive experience collaborating with mental health and substance abuse community centers, providers, and resources.
- Familiarity and extensive hands-on experience in residential, inpatient, or outpatient settings, coupled with a deep understanding of community resources and centers
- The ability to analyze specific utilization challenges and develop and implement solutions that directly enhance the quality of care.
- Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills
- Other Duties as assigned.

Compensation
The pay range for this position is $29.42-36.06 per hour. You can expect to work 20 hours per week for this position.
Based on our compensation philosophy, an applicant’s placement in the pay range will depend on various considerations, such as years of applicable experience and skill level.
