Installer/Service Technician

C & B Material Handling, LLC (part of the C & B Equipment family), a leader and supplier of choice in material handling equipment, automation solutions, and industrial equipment rental, is seeking an Installer / Service Technician for our location in Verona, Virginia. This role is essential in maintaining our reputation for quality by installing, servicing and maintaining docks, overhead doors and crane equipment.

Essential Duties:

• Install, maintain, and repair a variety of material handling equipment, including docks, overhead doors, and overhead cranes.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and perform periodic maintenance on new and existing equipment.
• Conduct site evaluations to ensure proper equipment selection and installation.
• Collaborate with the sales and engineering teams to understand customer requirements and provide technical support.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations during installation and maintenance procedures.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing any installation or maintenance concerns promptly.
• Maintain accurate records of installations, services, and repairs.
• Participate in ongoing training to stay current with industry standards and new technologies.

Requirements

• Proven experience and knowledge in the installation and maintenance of docks, overhead doors, and overhead crane equipment.
• Strong technical and mechanical aptitude.
• Welding certification preferred.
• Ability to read and follow wiring schematics.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Overtime, weekend work and some overnight travel required at times.
• Commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
• Physical capability to perform job functions, including but not limited to lifting, carrying, and reaching.
