Highway Engineering Associate

Hire Resolve’s client is a leading Multi-disciplinary Engineering firm that is urgently seeking the expertise of a Highway Engineering Associate in Glen Allen, VA.

Responsibilities:

• Successful candidates will assist with various design related assignments, varied analysis, and varied field duties on transportation projects primarily for state and local governments in Virginia and the southeast. Potential candidates include recent graduates as well, with broad civil engineering coursework and working experiences.
• Successful candidates will assist in the development of construction plans, right of way plans, cost estimates, bid documents, various calculations, and quantity takeoffs under the direction of licensed civil engineers. Candidates with skills and coursework in multiple disciplines of civil engineering are desired. The successful candidate will be required to perform certain duties in a field setting including active construction sites.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Civil Engineering degree from an accredited program or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Basic knowledge of production software
• Solid oral and written communications skills
• Ability to effectively interact with and build relationships with others
