Full Job Description
Esparza Staffing is currently searching for experienced Equipment Operators to join our growing team. This is a full time hourly position. Hours range between 40-50 +/- per week. All work performed will be on solar sites.
A Heavy Equipment Operator’s primary responsibility is to complete assigned tasks safely and accurately using construction equipment. Typical Heavy Equipment Operator job duties include:
• Loading and unloading equipment from vehicles used to transport it
• Inspecting equipment before and after use to ensure it’s in good working order
• Driving or controlling heavy equipment to complete tasks at the construction site
• Monitoring performance and adjusting settings as required to perform tasks correctly
• Tracking scheduled maintenance of equipment and notifying their Supervisor if maintenance is past due
• Filling out performance records to report problems with equipment and track where and when it was used
• Cleaning equipment after use and disposing of any collected scraps or waste
• Completing minor repair work as needed
Requirements
Equipment Operator Candidates must possess the following:
- 2+ years experience
- Valid US Driver's license... Required
- Operator's certificate... Required
- Safe and efficient operation of the following, but not limited to: Excavator, Dozer, Roller, Off-Road truck, Skid Steer, Mini excavator
- Adherence to safety requirements and procedures
- Understand documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions
- Perform maintenance checks
- Ability to identify and avoid overhead and underground hazards
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
- OSHA card are a plus, but not mandatory
Equipment Operator Physical Requirements:
Ability to physically lift objects in weight up to 60 pounds
Climbing of ladders, stairs, and structures
Work at above grade and below grade elevation
