Graphic Designer

Astor & Sanders Corporation (Astor) is an award-winning IT solutions provider headquartered in McLean, VA and is seeking a Graphic Designer to join their team. This is a part-time and as needed position. It is 100% remote.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Produce graphics and illustrations for use in technical writing, marketing material, websites and other visual communications media
• Support the design/development/modification of graphics, tables, and matrices to enhance text in proposals for Federal procurements, corporate brochures, client presentations, etc. 
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to understand project requirements and objectives
• Develop and execute creative concepts, layouts, and designs that align with company guidelines
• Ensure that all graphics deliverables are completed on time and meet quality standards
• Update and maintain the graphics library
• Available on a part-time and as needed bases. Must be available occasional evenings and weekends as required.
• Additional duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or related field is preferred; Associate's Degree in Graphic Design with two years of applicable professional working experience may be substituted
• 1-2+ years of proven experience as a graphic designer, with a portfolio showcasing design skills and creativity
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), MS PowerPoint and MS Visio
• Strong understanding of typography, layout, conceptual design and user interface and experience
• Experience with coding basic HTML, CSS and content management systems such as WordPress
• Highly developed organization and time management skills
• Understanding of 508 Compliance and web standards 
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
